Jet Lag Remedies - Did They Work?

Yes! I feel better. I'm sleeping and eating at appropriate times. I feel like the 'brain fog' has lifted.

The Epsom Salts bath was great. I added Smoky Quartz and Hematite crystals to the foot of the bathtub (in the water). I also wore a Smoky Quartz pendant for the past two days. Both are grounding and help relieve stress. I took the homeopathic remedy Cocculus night and day and I think that helped immediately. I haven't felt the need to take a nap. I think I'm back to normal! Yay!

I will definitely take Cocculus and my crystals with me on my next trip to California.

Persistent jet lag? Try this natural healing strategy

It's been nine days since I returned from a week in Los Angeles to take a personal development course and I'm still experiencing jet lag!!

Quite distressing to find myself sleeping, waking and eating three hours behind everyone else here in the Eastern Time Zone!

It's quite unusual for jet lag to last this long, but I noticed it happened each time I've returned from the West coast. I am particularly motivated to find the jet lag solution for me because I have three other trips planned to California this year!!

What to do?!?!

My research has led me to develop this plan for the next few days. I'll keep you posted as to how well it works.

· Take an Epsom salts bath before bed to ground my electromagnetic system
· Take a dose of the homeopathic remedy Cocculus indicus before bed, which is effective for people who say they are "too tired to sleep". They may feel weak, dizzy, irritable, and have trouble concentrating (this seems to describe my symptoms!)
· Sleep no longer than one hour past my normal wake time of 7 AM
· If I need one, limit naps to no more than an hour
· Go for a morning walk. Since my jet lag problem happened only when I traveled east, experts advise going outside in the morning.
· Tomorrow is my yoga class. It will help get my body pumped up, help alertness, and get me out in the sunlight. .A study at the University of Toronto also suggests that exercise will actually reduce the number of days jet lag affects you.
· Put a drop or two of Rosemary essential oil on a cotton ball and inhale as needed during the day to assist alertness and concentration.
